Bioremediation to be tested at Oak Ridge (news clip)
January 30, 2007 - A U.S. scientist thinks that bioremediation may be a way to treat groundwater that's been
contaminated with radiation. The Oak Ridge National Laboratory is the site of toxic waste from weapons manufactured from 1951
to 1983. and will be the site for a 5-year study on the effectiveness of bioremediation. If it works, another 7,000 sites may
be treated. Bioremediation is less expensive than traditional remediation. (Please allow a few seconds for the news clip
