March 11, 2024 — The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is a group of water experts that’s been around since 1881. They help ensure our drinking water is safe and that we have enough of it. This year, AWWA is holding its annual conference (ACE24) in Anaheim, California. The theme is “Transforming Our Water Future,” and it’s all about finding innovative solutions to water challenges.

A highlight of the conference will be a keynote speech by Patricia Mulroy, senior fellow at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law and former general manager at Southern Nevada Water Authority in Las Vegas. Ms. Mulroy is a leading figure in the water world, known for her innovative ideas and her dedication to ensuring clean, reliable water supplies for communities. She’s worked in water management for over 30 years.

The conference will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
